The project sets up a hybrid renewable energy system for the generation of Electricity. It is integrated with a Biogas plant and solar in which Biogas remains will be used for the production of organic fertilizer- NPK.
Nyasa Engineering Consultancy LTD is doing a project feasibility study in the eight major centers sustaining the Energy CARNOPOP and an energy potential above 50%. Studies have projected that 96% of Malawians living in Rural Areas have opted for Unsustainable sources of Energy since the rural electrification rate is 4%. On top of that, only 11% of Malawi’s population has access to Electricity, This forces 89% to continue using nonrenewable sources of Energy (World Bank 2019).
Therefore, Nyasa Engineering Consultancy LTD is currently drafting the findings & research CARNOPOP for High IMPEL Energy Company (HIEC) LTD in the following Sector: Cost of producing electricity, Affordability of the electricity by rural customers, Sustainability of raw materials supply in terms of quality and quantity, and suitability and reliability of the technology.
HIEC Ltd was founded by Peter Ngwira with Andrew Phiri as the co-Founder and Director. Andrew is a Chemical Engineer, Engineering Designer & Programmer, Graphic Designer, Certified Innovator & Entrepreneur. Currently HIEC Ltd is being run by Tusalifye Kanyika , the Executive Board Member and Managing Director, who oversees all project designs, Customization and implementation.
